Bluetooth Smart & Smart Ready

CSR has been at the forefront of Bluetooth® innovation for over ten years and is now leading the field in Bluetooth Low Energy, the exciting new Bluetooth standard.

Bluetooth Low Energy enables ultra low power connectivity and basic data transfer for applications previously limited by the power consumption, size constraints and complexity of other wireless standards.

CSR’s easy-to-integrate, cost-effective Bluetooth low energy platform is enabling new applications for remote controls, watches, sports equipment, health sensors and home automation.

Voice and Music - Wireless Streaming & Processing

CSR's audio expertise has evolved into a range of specific audio processing solutions for applications including mobile handsets, consumer headsets and professional audio systems.

CSR has a range of audio encoding and processing algorithms, including Clear Voice Capture (CVC®) which is CSR's own echo cancellation and noise suppression DSP software technology for enhancing the audio quality of wireless products.

Location - GPS & WiFi

CSR’s next generation SiRFusion™ location platform is based on the SiRFstarV™ architecture for optimum indoor and outdoor performance.

SiRFstarV chips are capable of tracking GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, Compass, SBAS, and future GNSS signals. The SiRFusion platform integrates positioning from GNSS, terrestrial radio solutions such as Wi-Fi and cellular, and MEMS sensors including accelerometers, gyroscopes, and compasses.

SiRFusion can then combine this real-time information with cellular base station and Wi-Fi access point location data, ephemeris data and other cloud-based aiding information from the CSR Positioning Centre (CPC) to generate accurate and reliable position updates.

Imaging - Cameras & Printers

Cameras: Connectivity and location features, from wireless photo transfer to geo-tagging, set the “premium” cameras apart from the crowd. Low-power usage and an unusually fast GPS fix are particular priorities in cameras, and CSR works closely with some of the world's top brands to deliver top performance within these unique profiles.
