MagnaChip is a Korean-based designer and manufacturer of analogue and mixed-signal semiconductor products for high-volume consumer applications. They have one of the broadest and deepest analogue and mixed-signal semiconductor technology platforms in the industry, supported by a 30-year operating history, large portfolio of approximately 2,620 novel registered patents and 950 pending novel patent applications, and extensive engineering and manufacturing process expertise.

BCD represents MagnaChip’s Foundry Service in the UK and Ireland.

Foundry Service

MagnaChip provides wafer foundry services utilizing CMOS mixed-signal, high-voltage, embedded memory and power process technologies for the manufacture of integrated circuits for customer owned designs.

MagnaChip offers manufacturing services to providers of analog and mixed-signal semiconductors. These customers rely on MagnaChip for differentiated, specialty analog and mixed-signal process technologies, such as high voltage complementary metal oxide semiconductor (CMOS), embedded memory and power.

Their manufacturing facilities and processes do not require substantial investment in leading edge process equipment and can be utilized over an extended period of time.

Their manufacturing base serves both their solutions products and manufacturing services customers, allowing them to optimise their asset utilization and leverage their investments across their product and service offerings.

Manufacturing Facilities

MagnaChip maintains two manufacturing operations in the Korean cities of Cheongju and Gumi. The combined capacity of these facilities is approximately 117,000 eight-inch equivalent wafers per month. They manufacture wafers from 0.13 to 1.0 micron.
